Climate Protection Requires a Prosperous Global Solar Photovoltaic Market
In late 2012, the U.S. and the EU launched “anti-dumping” and “anti-subsidy” investigations into solar productions imported from China. The continuous investigations have intensified the trade disputes regarding renewable energy between China and related countries. G:HUB made a quick response to the issue by analyzing the impacts of EU’s “anti-dumping” investigations into China. We believe that China and EU should take joint efforts to support the development of renewable energies to tackle global climate change. We oppose any trade protectionism in the name of protecting the industry while in effect harming the benefits of the consumers and companies. We call for a dialogue between China and EU to solve the conflicts in climate and trade governance and share the common interest of tackling global climate change which is in need of urgent action and long-lasting cooperation.
