Low-carbon Green Development Under “The Belt and Road” Initiative: The Seminar on Capacity Building in the Power and Energy-Intensive Industries in Beijing
Developing Overseas Trends of “The Belt and Road” Investment and Financing
This publication focuses on the issue of environmental protection in the implementation of “The Belt and Road” Initiative. Through different perspectives from policymakers, enterprise investors, and think tanks and NGOs, we provide suggestions to promote environmental protection in investment destination countries and develop China’s ability of green governance in self-practice and bilateral and multilateral cooperation.
Our second issue focuses on the green and sustainable development of cities and ports along the route and aims to discuss what government, enterprises and civil society can do in this process. The goals of “Transforming Maritime Power” and “Building Ecological Civilization” in “The Belt and Road” Initiative can only be fulfilled through coordination of all parties with exploration of technical solutions. Countries along the road may also benefit from the sharing of best practices.
